Tennis announce 7th album with its most tennis cover

Among the novelties of the week in the playlist «Ready for the weekend» you have been able to hear a new single from Tennis, ‘Weight of Desire’, a ballad located halfway between its unmistakable and melodic style, the Dream-Pop, the shiny shin eighties and the percussions of Peter Gabriel.

This ‘Weight of Desire’ is a dark theme, as Dark will be the next Tennis album, which has just been announced. In ‘Face Down in the Garden’, the marriage composed of Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley moves away from the real world and looks “to the abyss.”

‘Face Down in the Garden’, which leaves April 25, is inspired by a series of crisis that Tennis members have lived in recent years. For example, Alaina has diagnosed a chronic disease. And both suffered an attempt to rob during a journey at sea. These experiences made Tennis feel “disconnected from the world,” and Alaina’s response was “to immerse me in my memories.” This will be the 9 -track tracklist:
1.- AT THE APARTMENT
2.- Weight of Desire
3.- At The Wedding
4.- Always The Same
5.- Sister
6.- Through The Mirror
7.- I Can Only describes You
8.- 12 Blown Tires
9.- In Love (The Doves Release)

‘Face Down in the Garden’ is Tennis’s first album in 3 years. The last, ‘Pollen’, was launched in 2023. The previous one, ‘Swimmer’ (2020), gave some of his strongest hits on streaming platforms, such as ‘Runner’ or ‘i’ll haunt you’. Of course, its greatest success remains ‘Origins’, 2013.
