Billboard has revealed its list of the 20 most successful artists of the last 25 years in the United States. This time, the list is based on numbers, analyzing the commercial performance of artists on Billboard’s album and singles charts. For example, Beyoncé, the most important artist of the 21st century for Billboard, appears on this new list in 7th place, several positions behind -for example- Rihanna, who appears in third place, despite the fact that she has not released an album since 9 years ago.
Taylor Swift, to no one’s surprise, leads the list. Drake follows in second place. Eminem is the oldest artist in the top 10, having been active since 1988, but he is not the only one to emerge during the 90s: there is, in addition to Beyoncé, Usher.
Post Malone is the youngest of the top 10, as he is not yet 30 years old. Billboard has also shared 10 additional positions, from 11 to 20, which leave equally expected names such as Adele, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga, P!nk, Kanye West -now Ye- or Ed Sheeran.
