The references Talking Heads You will see published tomorrow Friday “Tentative Decisions”, a compilation of demos and live recordings that were part of their first albums.
The band led by David Byrne has compiled some of his first “rarities” in a new album for the Record Store Day Black Friday 2025. “Tentative Decisions” includes demos of songs that would later feature on the band’s first two albums. Additionally, it will also include a live recording of “Artists Only” from the Lower Manhattan Ocean Club and covers of “Psycho Killer” and “Warning Sign.” The album will be available exclusively at participating record stores starting tomorrow Friday, November 28.
“Tentative Decisions” will include the following songs:

To celebrate the band’s fiftieth anniversary, Talking Heads released a new video clip for “Psycho Killer” directed by Mike Mills and starring Saoirse Ronan. In 2024 they released a reissued version of their first full-length, “Talking Heads: ’77”originally released in 1977, all outside the anniversary celebrations of his classic documentary “Stop Making Sense”.
