The Italian band Talc has published “Disco Inferno”, the second preview of “Freek”the next album from this festive and energetic collective and one of the most ambitious works of their recent career.
After presenting “Dalla Mia Parte Della Strada”, the group continues to unfold the conceptual universe of this new album. With a song that mixes satire, social criticism and punk spirit.
With more than twenty years of career, Talco faces this new stage through creative renewal and the need to continue moving forward. According to the band itself, “Freek” was born precisely as a response to the fear of creative exhaustion after more than a dozen albums published. “Disco Inferno” places its story in a kind of surreal nightmare about the contemporary music industry. The song portrays a system obsessed with manufacturing shooting stars through artificial campaigns designed for immediate consumption.
Musically, the song keeps Talco’s identity intact. An explosive combination of punk-rock, ska and patchanka italiana that has turned the group into one of the most influential groups on the European alternative scene.
The launch also comes accompanied by the announcement of the tour “Talco Freek Tour 2027”. This will tour different European and Spanish cities between January and April of next year.
We can see them in Madrid (February 27, La Riviera), Santiago de Compostela (March 12, Sala Capitol), Bilbao (March 13, Santana 27), Zaragoza (April 22, Sala Oasis), Barcelona (April 23, Razzmatazz) and Iruñea (April 24, Sala Totem). You can get tickets at this same link,
