Swimmer return with nostalgia, in full revival Dream Pop

Swimmer, one of the National Pop Indie Groups from the late 2000s, has released its first theme in 15 years. The world has changed and eye because not everything has been bad. Today styles such as Dream Pop are totally majority if we serve the virals in Tiktok of people like Beach House, or the absolutely monstrous streams of cigarettes after sex. Even Slowdive have returned after a period greater than his, adding many young fans to his army.

The group formed by Sara Atán (voice and guitar), Gonzalo Abalo (voice and guitar), Edu Romero (bass), Daniel Abalo (drums) and Montxo Couselo (keyboards) resumed its sound where it left it. His new image could only be blurred, distorted.

His comer single opts for nostalgia. If they had a theme called ‘1987’, the new one is called ‘1997’.

The ‘1997’ melody is Tristona, and the most rock and shoegaze instrumentation than dreamlike. The first line of the theme contains contradictions (“On the radio they sound again / songs that nobody wants to listen to”), while the chorus tries to extract beauty from an anguishing transience: “Now we will explode in the sky / we will be a flash / we will shine tonight again / just a moment / nothing more.”

In the video of María López Veis to Martí Perarnau IV (Zahara, León Benavente, Juno) because he has been in charge of the production of swimmer, while the sound engineering has been Pablo Pulido (study one).
