“Dancing with the Europeans” is a connection hymn and optimism prior to the launch of his new album “Antidepressants”.
The iconic British band Suede just launched its new single “Dancing with the Europeans”, third advance of its expected study album “Antidepressants”which will see the light on September 5, 2025 through the BMG label.
This new theme, born after an emotional concert in Spain, reflects one of the central messages of the album: the search for emotional connection in an increasingly fragmented world. Vocalist Brett Anderson summarizes it clearly:
“I was going through a complicated personal moment, but that night in Spain there was something magical. I felt a real connection with the public. I thought about the phrase ‘Dancing with the Europeans’ … I had a special meaning. He talks about breaking barriers, of reconnecting, of feeling alive in the middle of the chaos.”
The video clip of the theme, directed by Chris Turner, captures that same energy: closeness, delivery and an exciting ending in which the public takes the stage to share the experience next to the band. A true act of musical communion.
