Sublime announce their first new album in thirty years

Sublime announce their first new album in thirty years, “Until The Sun Explodes”which for the first time has Jacob Nowell as a vocalist.

The band has announced their first new full-length in thirty years, which is also their first with Jakob Nowell on vocals. “Until The Sun Explodes”will see the light next June 12 through Atlantic Records, and features collaborations from HR (Bad Brains), Fletcher Dragge (Pennywise), G. Love, FIDLAR and Skegss. The ska group confirmed last year that they were working on new music, along with the help of Travis Baker (Blink-182)and finally the album has materialized almost a year later.

Along with this announcement, the band has released the first preview: the title track of the album. In addition, it is accompanied by a video clip directed by Ryan Baxley in which Jakob pays tribute to Bradley Nowellthe band’s original vocalist and his father, who died in 1996 from a heroin overdose. The video tours various locations in Long Beach, the band’s hometown, that have ties to its history, while also showing its connection to the skate culture of Southern California.
