Stevie Wonder will celebrate 50 years of the enormous ‘Songs in the Key of Life’ with a tour that will pass through Europe very soon, between October and November 2026. Wonder will perform the legendary 1976 album in a series of dates that will begin in Birmingham on October 13 and end in Glasgow on November 11.
The news has a small drawback for its Spanish fans: Wonder has not included any dates in Spain. Yes, it will pass through France, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland and the United Kingdom. Their last European performance was on July 12, 2025 in Hyde Park, London, as part of their ‘Love, Light & Song’ tour.
In Spain, on the other hand, he has not been seen for much longer. His last performance in our country took place in May 1992. That is, more than three decades have passed since Stevie Wonder’s last visit to Spain.
The occasion especially deserved it. ‘Songs in the Key of Life’, published in 1976, is considered one of the great albums in the history of popular music. It is the album that contains songs like ‘Sir Duke’, ‘I Wish’, ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ and ‘As’, in addition to having won the Grammy for Album of the Year. Recently, Paste Magazine ranked it No. 1 on its list of the best albums of all time.
