Steven Wilson launches studio-quality immersive sound platform

Steve Wilson has launched Headphone Dusta platform offers high-quality versions of his previous albums while he works on his next album. At the same time he announces special concerts with new arrangements of songs from “The Overview”.

The cult singer and songwriter released his eighth studio album, “The Overview”last year, an album inspired by the Overview Effect, the phenomenon that astronauts experience when they contemplate the Earth for the first time from outer space. Now, in a new interview with the YouTube channel Immersive Audio Albumhas confirmed that the successor album is practically completed. Furthermore, he added: “It is a very strange album. It is completely the opposite of “The Overview”which was a very lush album, very big and also dealt with a huge subject, this is a much more introspective album.”

The next album Steve Wilson He promises to continue with the conceptual and experimental trail that he has marked with his previous works throughout his career. Wilson He continued: “The pieces are—well, to me it feels like another single piece of music, in that sense. But it’s much more angular and experimental in a way that I’m very excited about. And that’s all I can say for the moment. Very different again, yeah.” At the moment, the artist has not announced any official release date.

As for the special concerts in which he will present new arrangements of the songs of “The Overview”will be carried out in the Royal Albert Hall, London – a stage he will take on for the seventh time in his career – the October 28 and 29 of this same year.
