Stavroz’s electronic jazz, in Madrid and Barcelona

Stavroz is a Belgian electronic music quartet known for their fusion of house and downtempo rhythms with jazzy and organic sounds. Originally formed by DJs and producers IJsbrand De Wilde and Gert Beazar, they were later joined – first on stage and eventually as full members – by Maxim Helincks and Pieter De Meester. They all share the tasks of electronic production and the interpretation of jazz instruments, mainly wind instruments, although their bass grooves can be as addictive as that of ‘The Wild’, one of the cuts included on their latest album.

Precisely that ‘Take a Seat’, released last October, is the excuse for Stavroz’s visit to Spain. The group will present it on two dates in our country: first, on Thursday, February 19, at the Sala MON in Madrid, and then, on Friday, February 20, at La Paloma in Barcelona. The group, which became known a decade ago with singles like ‘The Finishing’ or ‘Gold Town’ -which capture their style perfectly-, lands in our country for the first time.

Tickets are now on sale at Fever for 26 euros plus fees, with a 7% discount for Revolut customers, although places are limited. In addition, Primavera Tours concerts can be purchased with the Youth Cultural Bonus from the Ministry of Culture. If you are fans of groups like Rüfüs du Sol or Adriatique, or in general of listening to good live electronic music with warm and enveloping nuances, don’t miss it.
