The legendary Spanish rock band Illegal has finally shared a video clip of what is one of the main anthems. We talked about the song “Soy un macarra”, a song that had not had a clip… until now.
“Soy un macarra” is a song that dates back to 1984 and that, over the years, has become a rock anthem sung in Spanish. This classic of Spanish music comes to new life with an audiovisual production that celebrates the rebellious and provocative spirit that has always characterized the band.
The video clip, directed by Sara González Armadaa young Asturian film director, is a tribute to classic Hollywood, replacing special effects with ingenuity and showing action sequences that fit perfectly with the group’s music.
In the words of Jorge Ilegal, leader of the group “it’s damn good that this was the single that the company chose to promote this album, because we recorded it at the last minute to complete and make a little bit of a mongolian at the concerts; but they got it right, because it ended being our most listened to song… although it was a little to our regret, we saw ‘Exhausted from Waiting for the End’ much better, but there it is and now we’re putting a video on it to top it off.”
