Sónar+D 2025 will explore the new horizons of the “omnipresent”

Sónar+D has revealed its programming of 2025, in which it will explore the “new horizons of creativity and arts in the era of omnipresent,” this Tuesday, March 11 during a press conference held in Barcelona. The program will compose a hundred activities led by artists, technologists, scientists, visionaries and radical minds of music, engineering or quantum computing.

Among the outstanding activities of Sónar +D, Maria Arnal will present his new project, ‘Ama’. Arnal will be one of the figures invited in Sónar +D next to Libby Heaney, from the United Kingdom; Tega Brain, from Australia; Xin Liu de China, or Yesssi Perse & Lasadcum, from Spain.

The three thematic axes of Sónar + D will be «’Ia + Creativity’, where alternative tools and approaches of AI in artistic production are proposed; ‘Imagining the future of creative industries’, a space to reflect on the changes and opportunities of the sector; and ‘Worlds to come’, an exploration of the emerging scenarios that will define the relations between technology, culture and society ».

The Sónar +D program will display «interactive forums, round tables, masterclass, performative conferences, workshops, multidisciplinary shows and dozens of projects on exposure will open the door to know the future before it becomes present».

We remind you that Sónar 2025’s musical poster will feature performances by Nathy Peluso, Plastikman, Four Tet, Peggy Gou or Honey Dijon.
