Sónar Barcelona today closes its programming with new confirmed new ones among which are the directs of the British-Gambian rapper Pa Salieu, Mushka, Alizzz, Sega Bodega, Dengue Dengue Dengue and Herbert & Mokoko, which are not others that Matthew Herbert with the multi-standardist Momoko Gill presenting a joint project. There will also be a four -hands set of the selector Dee Diggs and Ultra Naté, so referenced in recent years of novelty fashion for his hit ‘Free’.
There are also a couple of special confirmations. Alva Noto and Fennesz present a tribute to Ryuichi Sakamoto called ‘Continuum’. For his part, Nathy Peluso, who was already a great head of Sónar 2025, will delight us with a second special set in a different format that will be revealed soon. It will revolve around the EP of Remixes ‘Club Gasa’, a return on which it was one of the best albums of 2024.
In total, Sónar 2025 will have 117 live shows, DJ sets and multidisciplinary performances in 10 scenarios distributed between Sónar by Day and Sónar at night, two of them especially commissioned with Boiler Room and Printworks London. Sónar Week will run from Tuesday 10 to Sunday, June 15 to “turn Barcelona into the world capital of music, innovation and creativity.”
Among the artists who were already confirmed, we must talk about Plastikman, Arca and Polo & Pan, as well as the great audiovisual shows of Eric Prydz, BICEP present Chroma Av/DJ, Peggy Gou, Max Cooper, Cora Novoa and Daito Manabe. There will also be Four Tet sessions, Vintage Culture, Helena Hauff and Barry Can’t Swim; Skrillex B2B Blawan and Armin Van Buuren B2B Indira Paganotto sets; and special shows. Among these, ‘Room With A View’ of Rone with the collective (La) Horde and the National Ballet of Marseille, Yerai Cortés with his ‘Coral Guitar’, Maria Arnal, Renena Tarta or Samantha Hudson.
