Among the October 3 to 5Formentera will host a new edition of what is one of the most intimate festivals in the country, the Son Estrella Galicia Posidonia.
The event with secret poster, which repeats for the second year as the only festival in the world with True Platinum certification such as Zero Waste, seeks to create a “unique musical, gastronomic and beer experience that revolves around the commitment to the Balearic Island.”
Hence, only 350 fertilizers are put on sale, turning the experience into something out of what is presupposed to the festivals. In this ninth edition, once again, we will discover the artists at the time they are going to act, but we can say that throughout the last editions they have passed through the Artists Festival such as Baiuca, Maria Arnal I Marcel Bagés, Roosevelt, Tulsa, Queralt Lahoz, Israel Fernández, Jorge Drexler, Kabeoushé, Pongo, Crystal Murray or the Bitxos, among many others.
On the other hand, the gastronomic proposal of Posidonia is reinvented thanks to the collaboration with different chefs of the island that will devise a series of dishes made from local product to represent Formentera. In this way, Martina Cacheiro de Casbah, Vicente Montfort de Fandango, Joan Costa de Sol, Paolo Nebuloni de Juvia, Juan Craywinkel by Gecko Beach Hotel and Clara Campoamor of the Post Post Post Poststroke will elaborate various options that can be tasted on Saturday night Maridadas with the different brands of children of Rivera. The rest of the days other options will be raised in restaurants and spaces of Formentera to continue promoting local businesses. On the other hand, the beer culture printed at the origin of Son Estrella Galicia Posidonia, will be disseminated through the organization of workshops.
Since its creation in 2017, Son Estrella Galicia Posidonia encourages responsible tourism and the protection of local ecosystems, collaborating with the Save Posidonia project that tries to protect this marine plant of great importance for the environment of the area. The commitment to the island also derives in cooperation with a multitude of local entities, suppliers and producers, so that the economic and social impact it generates is real and can be perceived by its population.
