After the catastrophic events that occurred mainly in the Valencian Community due to the passage of DANA, the music industry has decided to unite to raise and send aid to the affected population. This is how Som Valéncia was born, a non-profit initiative in which more than 200 artists will carry out solidarity concerts around the country, starting on Monday, November 11. The proceeds will be allocated entirely to the affected people.
Alizzz, Alcalá Norte, Cariño, Carolina Durante, Ginebras, Judeline, La MODA, María Arnal, Natalia Lacunza, Mushkaa, Russian Red, Shego, Villano Antillano or Zahara are just some of the names that join the proposal. This was initially promoted by the Barcelona label Hidden Track Records and soon became something of the entire Spanish music industry. The complete list of artists is available on the website.
Starting next November 11, halls throughout Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Burgos, Lleida, Donosti, Murcia, Granada, Zaragoza, Málaga…) will be filled with concerts. The proceeds will be allocated entirely to those affected by DANA through the Horta Sud Foundation, a non-profit organization with more than 50 years of activity.
The concerts will have a price of between 15 and 20 euros. Tickets can be purchased starting this Thursday, November 7, at 12 noon through DICE, which not only will not charge a commission but will be responsible for the amount of the bank transaction so that all the money donated reaches its recipients in full. . In addition, it will make it easier for the money to be sent as it comes in, due to the situation of extreme urgency.
