Smokey Robinson, legend of Motown and former leader of the Group The Miracles, has received a demand for sexual aggression from a personal assistant and three household employees. These claim that they were victims of the singer and composer numerous times from 2007 to 2024, and that his wife helped cover up the abuses. Demand is valued at 50 million dollars. Smokey Robinson has denied the accusation and ensures that all the motivation behind is economical.
The four women, who have preferred to maintain their anonymity, accuse Robinson of rape, assault, illegal detention and gender violence. The facts would have taken place in the singer’s house in Los Angeles. Those affected also ensure that the defendant denied them to pay their labor services before giving up their work.
The lawsuit includes Frances Robinson, wife of the 85 -year -old artist, who would have contributed to hide the facts and treated employees with “ethnically pejorative words and language.”
Smokey Robinson is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1987 and is recognized worldwide for its compositions as part of The Miracles group, as well as for its solo work.
He was in charge of writing songs as successful as ‘You’ve Really Got A Hold on Me’, versioned by The Beatles, ‘Ooo Baby Baby’ or ‘The Tracks of My Tears’. He has also been sampling numerous times in the world of hip hop, by artists such as Kanye West, Asap Rocky or J Dilla.
