Just a few days after their time at Mad Cool and Cruilla, The Smashing Pumpkins have announced a new album that is also due out soon. It’s called ‘Aghori Mhori Mei’ and will be available in just two weeks, on August 2nd. The new album from the authors of ‘Siamese Dream’ (1993) comes just one year after ‘Atum’, which contained 33 tracks.
As Billboard reveals, Billy Corgan was inspired by the idea that “you can’t go home again.” He wanted to look back, only to turn the page and dedicate himself to the future: “It wasn’t so much looking back with sentimentality but as a means to move forward; to see if in the balance between success and failure, our ways of making music around 1990-1996 still inspired something revealing.”
The band has revealed the tracklist, which you can check out below, but during their recent concerts in Madrid and Barcelona, Smashing Pumpkins gave no clues about this work. They played mostly songs from ‘Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness’ (1995) and ‘ATUM’.
