Simple Minds will celebrate fifty years of career in Madrid

What continues to be one of Scotland’s most important pop bands, Simple Mindshas announced the European tour to present what will be his new album. This tour will include two dates in Portugal and a single Spanish date in Madrid.

Jim Kerr, Charlie Burchill and their band will be celebrating their fifty years of career and presenting the songs of “Sacrosant”their new album, which consists of eight new songs among which is “Beginner Boys”, which has already been presented as the first preview. The full album will be available next January.

The European tour, which will also feature two dates in Portugal (April 5 in Porto and April 6 in Lisbon), will stop in Madrid on April 7, 2027, specifically at the Movistar Arena. But, in addition, they will not visit us alone, but they will do so with another band that emerged in the eighties and that is still active, Level 42a British funk-soul-pop group led by bassist Mark King.

Next, the group will tour France – with up to a total of five shows –, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands.

Tickets for Madrid will go on general sale on September 11 at 10:30 a.m. through doctormusic.com and tickets.com. The price of tickets will range between 54 and 119 Euros (VAT and distribution costs included). Fans can also sign up at www.simpleminds.com to the Simple Minds mailing list by September 8 to access pre-sale tickets for the tour.
