Sidonie They join the party celebrating the thirty years of the birth of what was one of the reference events of the mod and sixties scene in Barcelona during the nineties and first two thousand.
Marc Ros, Jesús Senra and Axel Pi return to the stage of the Magic In The Air Club, where they performed repeatedly during the nineties and early 2000s. It will be on October 17 and they will do so on a poster in which we already knew they would be The Mirrors and the french The Falken’s Maze.
To celebrate three decades since the birth of Magic in The Air, its promoter, the DJ and activist Eneida Fever!, responsible for Fever! Productions has prepared a party in style with a diverse lineup, in line with the spirit of the event.
But that won’t be all, since Magic in the Air will feature, on the decks, a varied roster of DJs: Eddie Piller, boss of Acid Jazz Records (United Kingdom); Roch “da Mod” Vidal, responsible for Le Mans goes Mod (France); Miguel Velacoracho from Madrid; the itinerant Tatjana Rius, alias Belle de Jour (singer in Filthy Rich) and the Barcelona writer Carles Armengol, author of Collado, the curse of a food house. These will be accompanied by the club’s triplet of resident selectors, composed of the artist and musician Marc Argenter, DJ Eduardo Domingo (Discos Redondos) and, of course, Eneida.
International bands such as Knave, The Perverts, The Strawberry Smell, Bronco Bullfrog and The Woggles performed at the club, which started one autumn night in 1996 in the Magic del Born room; and national groups such as Magic Bus (band led by bassist Daniel Fernández, now with Maika Makovski and Esperanto), Los Buhos, Art School, Elephant Band (Xoel López’s first band), Les Philippes or Sidonie. So, finally, the thirtieth anniversary of Magic In The Air Club will be celebrated on Friday, October 16 at Casa Sidral (Barcelona, free admission) and Saturday, October 17, Sala Upload (Barcelona, with admission) with the concerts of Sidonie, The Mirrors and The Falken’s Maze, as well as with all the sessions of national and international DJs.
