Through social networks, it has been announced that Sid Wilsonbest known for being a DJ for the metal band Slipknothas suffered an accident that has caused serious burns.
Sid Wilson, a Slipknot DJ under the alias Monkeyboy, has recently suffered a domestic accident that resulted in serious burns. Wilson was reportedly handling a drum kit that exploded near his face, causing burns to various parts of his face and arms.
The musician himself has stated that he has been admitted to a burn unit due to the need for further treatment. He himself has also commented that both his wife, Kelly Osbourne –daughter of the legendary vocalist Ozzy Osbourne–, as her daughter had previously warned her not to manipulate the piece.
Slipknot have, however, stated that Wilson will rejoin the band for their upcoming live shows as soon as possible. The next scheduled date is this Sunday, September 1, as the start of a ten-date US tour to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the release of their self-titled album. We’ll see if he’ll have time to join the group again for those shows.
