Los Angeles Superior Court to reconsider sexual assault case brought by Ashley Walters against Marilyn Manson
The sexual assault case brought by Ashley Waltersone of the former assistants of Marilyn Mansonhas been reactivated a year later. This lawsuit against mansonwhose real name is Brian Warnerwas first presented in 2021but apparently it was archived. In January 2025prosecutors confirmed that he would not face charges after a thorough investigation into allegations of sexual assault and domestic abuse. In December, the sexual assault lawsuit was dropped.
However, California’s new legislation extends by two years the “eligibility period for the reactivation of claims for persons over 18 years of age.” As a result, the Los Angeles Superior Court judge has granted a motion to reconsider the lawsuit. In 2021, Walters He alleged that he met Warner through social networks. She claimed that she went to his house for a possible collaboration that he proposed and that she was pushed onto his bed while he tried to put his hand inside her underwear. Later, he agreed to work as his assistant between 2010 and 2011a period during which, she claims, she was subjected to further abuse.
Warner has denied allegations of sexual harassment, abuse, sexual assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and wrongful dismissal. In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, his lawyer, Howard Kinghas reiterated its position and stated: “The undeniable fact is that Mr. Warner never committed any sexual assault, which is undoubtedly why the Prosecutor’s Office rejected Ms. Walters’ request that Mr. Warner be criminally charged.” At the moment there is no date for the trial.
