The musician and activist Serj Tankian definitively confirms that “Foundations”his new EP, will be released on September 27th by Gibson Records. The member of System of a Down has already shared some of the topics.
“Foundations EP” is a new work by the singer, poet, social activist, documentary producer and soundtrack composer. It will be released on September 27 through Gibson Records and has been written, performed, orchestrated and produced by the artist himself, including the album cover. However, they have participated punctually in the work Dan Monti (guitars, bass and programming), Mario Pagliarulo (bassist on “Cartoon Buyer”) and John Dolmayan (battery of System of a Down).
“Foundations EP” will include the songs “AFDay”, “Justice Will Shine On”, “Appropriations”, “Cartoon Buyer” and “Life’s Revengeful Son”. The album will be released digitally, but also on red and black vinyl with engraving on the B-side, and in a special edition for readers of the rock magazine Revolver, of which the musician is on the cover.
However, this release is not exactly an exception, as Tankian’s career has not stopped for years. Several live albums and a long list of soundtracks (“MADOFF. The Monster Of Wall Street”, “I’m Not Alone”among them) we must add studio albums such as “Harakiri” (12) or “Elect The Dead” (07). And Tankian has already announced that he is working on a new album of collaborations and versions.
