The mythical group, Nua Forestannounces his upcoming retirement from the stage through four farewell concerts, passing through venues such as Razzmatazz or the festival Observe.
The training came to light in 2020, when Adrià Garcia, Joana Jové and Gerard Catala They came together to present us “Nuvolosa”, one of their first songs that made us feel better during the pandemic. Thanks to its success, they were able to win the talent contest organized by Cases de la Música, a fact that allowed them to record their debut album. “Momentani”. From Faye Webster until Men I TrustSelva Nua offered us a very succulent proposal.
With “What do you do when you don’t do anything?”consolidated their characteristic sophisticated pop style that dances between soul, marked bass and suggestive lyrics. Currently, made up of Joana Jové on vocals and guitar, Adrià Garcia on bass and Pol Mitjans on the drums, they receive support in live performances thanks to the guitars of Miquel Allué and the keyboard Arni Gudjonsson.
The group issued the following statement:
“Selva Nua stops indefinitely. After a journey of 6 years, we have decided to stop to look inward and take care of ourselves. We are still processing it, but without a doubt, looking back gives us goosebumps. We have experienced things that we would never have imagined and we can only thank you for welcoming our music with so much love and for the trust that you have given us from the first day.
Special thanks to the people who, in one way or another, have helped make wild growth possible. Two albums that not only compile songs, but hours and hours of work, experiences, kilometers, emotions of all kinds, laughter, nerves and a good number of concerts that we will keep forever as a treasure. We don’t want to leave without saying goodbye properly. That is why we will do a mini-tour of 4 concerts that will end on June 18 at the Razzmatazz hall in Barcelona.”
Selva Nua will begin its last journey in the room Lleida Elysis Camps the next May 10continuing in the mythical Sabadell Observa festival on May 28. In Saint Coloma de Queralt we can see them Saturday May 30but if one date shines more than the rest, it is the June 18his final concert in the Razzmataz hall in Barcelona.
