Selena Gomez reveals she can’t have children

Selena Gomez has given an in-depth interview to Vanity Fair on the occasion of the release of the musical film ‘Emilia Perez’. The actress and singer has talked about a bit of everything: her plans in music, doubts about her 2022 documentary or the current pop scene. However, Gomez has also opened up, revealing that she cannot have children due to her health problems.

“I’ve never said this, but unfortunately I can’t bear my own children,” says Gomez, who clarifies that it is due to all the medical problems she has suffered in recent years and that “they would put my life and the baby’s life in danger.” After saying that she has gone through “grieving” due to the situation, she assures that she is now in “a much better place.”

However, Gomez already has some thoughts on how she will overcome this situation: “I think it is a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are two huge possibilities for me,” she said.

Those eagerly awaiting new music from Selena will have to keep waiting, as she says she is not “ready”: “Acting has always been my first love. Music is a hobby that got out of hand. It’s a part of who I am now, so I’m not going anywhere. I’m just not ready yet,” the singer has clarified.
