Last Friday there was a serious attack on two Yurena fans inside the Vistalegre Palace, at the end of the concert. It happened while the premises were being evacuated and when only a few dozen people were left inside. As can be seen in the videos uploaded to networks, a couple is reduced by security personnel in a completely disproportionate manner, when such an eviction is taking place.
These users have appeared on laSexta o Cuatro indicating that they received insults and threats such as “fucking faggots, we are going to kill you.” The attacked Adrián and his boyfriend, who was also reduced, assure that they will report to the police.
“We are destroyed, physically and psychologically,” they declared in Cuatro: “In the front area there was the fan area and you could go see the artists… I notice that someone grabs me from behind, according to the witness they were trying to evict us, I react naturally when you don’t expect them to grab you, they took it as an act of violence, they reduced me, they grabbed me by the neck, they threw me to the ground… My partner went to help me, they reduced my partner, it all happened in four minutes”…
According to his statement, when other security members came, the homophobic insults occurred. From the promoter of Yurena, Locamente, a statement has been issued in which they disassociate themselves from these events and condemn the attack:
«Given the events that occurred at the end of last Friday’s concert, we want to communicate the following: We condemn any form of violence, without exception.
The incident took place outside of our direct management and neither the LOCADOS team nor Yurena were involved. As soon as we became aware of what happened, we provided all the required information to the authorities and have maintained contact with the affected parties. The investigation is in the hands of the Police, who are responsible for clarifying the facts.
At Locamente we work to create safe spaces for everyone and we deeply regret that something like this tarnished what should have been a night of celebration for all the people who joined us.
