Sean Kingston, and his mother, sentenced to 3 years in prison

Sean Kingston, known for songs such as ‘Beautiful Girls’ or ‘Eenie Meenie’ with Justin Bieber, has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison for a fraud plot that rises to more than 1 million dollars and consisted of accumulating luxury goods through false payments. Kingston’s mother, Janice Turner, has also been convicted.

Both were arrested in May 2024. Turner, while he was in his Florida mansion. Kingston, on the other hand, was in the middle of a concert in the Mojave desert when the swat arrived.

The Kingston method was to organize purchases of luxury items inviting sellers to one of their Florida houses to negotiate promising them a promotion of their products on the singer’s social networks.

However, when it was time to pay the items, among which were several luxury cars, both Turner and Kingston sent sellers false receipts. Many of these people received their money after denouncing the facts to the authorities.
