For the five scenarios of BATBATEAN More than 60 bands and DJs will spend this weekend in Mendizabala (Vitoria-Gasteiz).
The festival BATBATEANwhich will debut on May 15 and 16 in Mendizabala (Vitoria-Gasteiz), will bring together 45 bands and 19 DJs, distributed over five stages, consolidating its commitment to the diversity and richness of the current music scene. The festival will also have a specific space dedicated to electronic music, a food truck area and a camping area.
BATBATEAN It is a project that arises from the local scene itself: from the concert halls, from the weekend programming and from all those people who support live music throughout the year. Its objective is to give prominence to local groups and highlight the diversity of styles that coexist in the Basque scene.
The poster brings together current artists from both Euskal Herria (Lukiek, Brigade Loco, Segismundo Toxicómano, La Txama, Hofe, Thirsty for Cumbia, …) as well as the rest of the State (Nerve Agent, La Elite, Juantxo Skalari & La Rude Band, Jarfaiter, Aida Blanco…), and even international (Roy Ellis…).
The festival announced several days ago that, in solidarity with the strike of show technicians and technicians called for May 15, as a gesture of support and solidarity, on the same day it will hold a stoppage in concerts during the festival’s peak hour, from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
