The rawness of Mac Miller and a vocal timbre similar to that of Post Malone. This is how you could describe Sam Tompkins’ music. The British singer-songwriter will be presenting his latest album, ‘hi, my name is insecure’ in Madrid and Barcelona on November 15 and 16, respectively.
Sam Tompkins is one of your favorite artists’ favorite artists. At least that’s how it is for Drake, Sam Smith or Justin Bieber, among others. In fact, the Canadian did not miss his concert last year at The Troubadour in Los Angeles. The 26-year-old artist found viral fame on Tik Tok in 2021 after being a busker for years and hasn’t stopped climbing since.
Their forte is a collection of songs that are as exciting as they are catchy. He himself describes his music as “cinematic, emotional and signature pop.” This description would include songs like ‘lose it all’, ‘die for someone’ or the acoustic ‘dead to me’. “I’m going to lose my friends if I don’t start going out,” he sings in the latter.
Tompkins will present his greatest hits and his latest album in our country next November: he will be on the 15th at the Lula Club in Madrid and on the 16th at Razzmatazz 2, in Barcelona. Tickets are now on sale at Live Nation and Ticketmaster.
