Saint Etienne says goodbye to the single from his final album

Saint Etienne have announced in networks a new album that will be released on September 5 under the name of ‘International’. The group has not indicated it on their social networks, where they were revealing when and where – in which British radio station – its new album would be released, but shortly after it has been known that this will be their final album.

Given the uproar formed around his fans, the group has written in a Facebook comment that all things “come to an end”, which in any case “are not going to separate” and that will only be “the last album of a new material.”

We understand that there will be some punctual concert, especially many reissues of those who like, and also, hopefully, some loose issue in the future.

At the moment, it seems that the group will not disappoint in ‘International’, because its first single, ‘Glad’, is another of the exquisite jewels with the group’s brand. It is our song of the day for this Saturday. Related to her most pop facet -we remember that Saint Etienne comes from publishing one of her Ambient albums -reminds the times of ‘Good Humor’, only with the wisdom of projects such as “such” or “Words and Music.” Attention to details such as winds, voices or samples type 90’s.

The theme will be accompanied in its single -sided single version:
1. Glad
2. Theme from Shapiro
3. Missing Pieces
4. Fire

As for the video of ‘Glad’, in tune with the celebration of loneliness, of the company, of life … of the lyrics, it is starring several young dancers, each in their style, which can go from the Breakdance to the traditional Irish dance, passing through the hip hop.

Throughout the year, we will pay tribute to the trio that has left one of the most exquisite and undervalued discographies of pop history. Its creative summit does not even have to look for it in its beginnings of the 90s but in the aforementioned ‘Words and Music by Saint Etienne’. He thinks in our Saint Etienne forum.
