Joaquín Sabina has announced his farewell tour, ‘Hello and Goodbye’, although it is a farewell with nuances. Sabina is retiring from making “endless journeys through crowded venues”, that is, he is definitely abandoning big tours, but he is not giving up on returning to the stage sporadically. Or, as the press release points out, Sabina “keeps up his sleeve the ace of reappearing at will, either because the muses whisper poems or songs worth sharing, or because he gets the urge to get up on any stage to give himself, give us, a tribute”
Sabina’s last major tour will begin in February 2025 in America and will tour Mexico, the United States, Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Uruguay and Argentina before landing in Spain and Europe with plans to conclude in November. The dates, cities and ticket sales will be announced in July for America and in September for Spain.
Sabina has been in the news in recent years for the various health problems he has suffered and which have made the development of his latest tours difficult. The last one, whose name alluded precisely to these health problems, ‘Contra todo opiniones’, took place in 2023.
