The album that ends the reign of ‘LUX’ in Spain – for now – is ‘Daisy’ by Rusowsky. After 34 weeks of presence, the formidable debut of the member of Russia IDK jumps from position 65 to position 1 on the occasion of the vinyl release this January 9.
Rusowski reached the top 6 in singles last year with ‘Malibu’ and is double platinum with that single that is still in the top 40. Now he consolidates his gold record with ‘Daisy’ in terms of albums. Perhaps we could ask that a new single, video or remix of this album be promoted in some way, which was the 3rd best album of 2025 for JENESAISPOP, as you can see in our Yearbook.
Also notable is the rise of Puerto Rican Clarent with ‘It doesn’t happen again’ in its first full week. It goes from number 37 to number 4, while ‘Love’ continues in the top 10 singles.
Otherwise, the week’s list stands out for the large number of re-entries we found once Christmas had passed. Among others, Saiko returns with ‘Sakura’ (76), Dellafuente with ‘Torii Yama’ (82), Leeches del Guadiana with ‘Revolá’ (95) or Judeline with ‘Bodhiria’ (99).
The only direct entries this week are those of the Madrid rapper Al Safir with ‘Príncipe’ (position 36) and that of Extrechinato y tú with ‘Poesía basic’ (position 42). The latter was a fleeting parallel project by Robe de Extremoduro with members of Fito y Fitipaldis and Platero y tú. Robe maintains up to 6 more albums on the lists, highlighting ‘Yo, minority absolute’ by Extremoduro in position 17.
