Rufus T. Firefly continues to promote his latest album, the outstanding ‘All Good Things’, on a tour in Spain that will extend until December 2025 and will continue throughout 2026, for now until the recently announced date of the Aranjuez band at Canela Party.
‘All good things’, which has just been awarded at the AUPA Awards gala! 2025 by PROJECTO DISCOGRAFICO, included several songs exclusive to its physical edition, including one that has just been released on streaming for obvious reasons.
‘I have dreamed that I was playing in Triángulo de Amor Bizarro’ drew powerful attention due to its title, since it is also not the first song on the album that directly alludes to a Spanish indie figure: there is ‘Premios de la Música Independiente’.
A piece of exquisite indie-rock architecture, where polyrhythms, guitar plucks and psychedelic keyboards converge, ‘I have dreamed that I was playing in Triángulo de Amor Bizarro’ is a love letter to Triángulo and, by extension, to music: ‘»In the darkest night my guitar shone / I crushed a thousand fascists with the sword of justice / Our wall of sound, changed the course of the river / And Rodrigo told me, this is how you become a friend,” he sings Victor Cabezuelo. Afterwards, the band’s “shoegaze hug” passes through Víctor, who recognizes that “when Isa opened the door, the storm broke out.”
The release of ‘I dreamed that I played in Triángulo de Amor Bizarro’ on platforms coincides with the publication of a real collaboration between Rufus T. Firefly and Triángulo de Amor Bizarro, ‘Estrella solitaría’, a version of the song from ‘SED’ (2023) where Julia Martín-Maestro of Rufus T. Firefly provides the lead vocals. ‘Solitary Star’ will be part of ‘Cura mi corazón’, the tribute album to Triángulo de Amor Bizarro that Mushroom Pillow publishes on December 5.
