Rosalía enters 'Berghain' with Björk, Yves Tumor and tremendous orchestra

Music news

Rosalía achieves her 12th number 1 in Spain; Björk, the 2nd

Rosalía goes straight to number 1 on Spanish Singles with ‘Berghain’, the first single from her imminent album, ‘LUX’. ‘Berghain’, released last Monday, gives Rosalía a 12th number 1 single in Spain (the last was ‘Beso’ in 2023).

The other 10 were ‘Di mi nombre’, ‘Conalta’ with J Balvin and El Guincho, ‘Aute cuture’, ‘Milionària’, ‘Yo x ti, tú x mí’ with Ozuna, ‘TKN’ with Travis Scott, ‘La noche de noche’ with Bad Bunny, ‘La fame’ with The Weeknd, ‘Candy’ and ‘Despechá’.

In a surreal way, ‘Berghain’ is a number 1 in Spain also for its guest artists, Björk and Yves Tumor. For Björk it is the second number 1 single in Spain: the first was ‘Hidden Place’ in August 2001. For Tumor it is the first.

‘Superestrella’, Aitana’s current hit, rises from 7 to 2, but on Spotify Spain it already occupies the first position, ahead of Rosalía. Will it rise to official number 1 next week?

While the rest of the singles in the top 10 go down, one goes up: ‘I want to tell you’, the recent viral song by Abraham Mateo and Ana Mena, actually a single from 2022, goes up to the top 10 for the first time, exactly in 10th place. Originally, his peak had been a top 30, and last week he re-entered at number 22, so this week he achieves his highest position.

The top 50 leaves two other entries, both urban. On the one hand, Tainy and Feid place ‘Monstruo’ at 37. On the other, JC Reyes – the person who spread Rosalía’s fake nudes – places ‘Avísame’ at 43.

Another couple of debuts complete today’s news. Firstly, ‘A contraluz’ by Fito and Fitipaldis bursts into position 87, boosted by the success of their album, number 1 in Spain.

And finally, ‘El Telephone’ by Hector Bambino “El Father” and Wisin & Yandel, a 2006 hit, debuts at number 95.
