Robert Smith talks about two new albums by The Cure

After sixteen years of inactivity, The Cure They published their new work a little over a month ago “Songs Of A Lost World”but the news is that Robert Smithits leader and vocalist, announces two more releases soon.

Robert Smith has launched a new carrot for the followers of the British group he leads, The Cure. Based on the success of this recent “Songs Of A Lost World”third best album of last year for our publication, is welcome news.

Smith has commented in British media that there will soon be two new releases related to the band. On the one hand we would have a “complementary” album for “Songs Of A Lost World”which would include other songs with a similar theme to this one, but with less darkness.

On the other hand, he has also commented that there would be another album that would include instrumental pieces, “strange and random recordings” recorded in night sessions in the same studio. Apparently, it would be a more experimental album.

Likewise, he confirmed that there will be a new tour by the group starting in the fall of 2025, as soon as these two releases are ready. Of course, his words will have to be taken with some reservation since it is not the first time that Smith announces albums by the group that ultimately never see the light of day.
