The legendary Robert Plant performs again at Tiny Desk, this time to present his album “Saving Grace”in which he shares the spotlight with Suzi Dian.
A couple of years ago, former Led Zeppelin singer and with a very wide and varied solo discography, Robert Plant, once again goes through the series of filmed Tiny Desk concerts and does so very well accompanied to present the songs from his album. “Saving Grace”a work in which he moves between folk and roots music, showing what the British musical interests are today.
Accompanied by Suzi Dian on vocals and accordion, along with Matt Worley (guitar, banjo, etc.), Tony Kelsey (guitar), Barney Morse-Brown (cello) and Oli Jefferson (drums), he performs four songs from “Saving Grave” and “Gallows Pole”, from Led Zeppelin’s third album, published in 1969.
As for the songs on the album, they are the traditional song “Gospel Plow” and the versions “It’s A Beautiful Day Today” (Moby Grape), “Higher Rock” (Martha Scanlan), “Everybody’s Song” (Low).
