The musical season has already begun in a very clear way and today, September 13th, new albums by Nilüfer Yanya (the Album of the Week), London Grammar, Porches (already reviewed on the cover), Nada Surf, Floating Points, TR/ST or the national revelation group Maestro Espada are coming to the market. New works by Tindersticks, Julie, Dora Jar, Miranda Lambert or Suki Waterhouse are also being released.
Katy Perry’s new album is out next week, and the artist has released the third single, ‘I’m His, He’s Mine’, today. It’s one of the standout singles from a day that has seen four big comebacks: The Weeknd on one hand, and FKA twigs on the other, present their new album; Nebulossa release their first single since ‘Zorra’, which has been almost a year in the making; and Tate McRae – pictured – offers his new pop hit. The remix by Charli and Troye is also available, with a cameo by ‘Dua Lingo’.
As if that weren’t enough, the day continues with new singles from Lola Indigo, León Benavente and a collaboration between Arca and Tokischa. Also premiering are Michael Kiwanuka and Franz Ferdinand, who have just announced a new album, and also Four Tet and Ellie Goulding, who have joined forces again in one of the hits of the week. Christopher Owens (former leader of Girls) and Soccer Mommy have continued to advance their next works.
The thing doesn’t end here: Rodrigo Cuevas presents a collaboration with El Nido and, in addition, and notably, there is a new single from Arde Bogotá, the first solo album after the success of his album and his exchange of covers with Bunbury. On the international scene, we especially recommend the new offerings from RÜFÜS DE SOL, Self Esteem or the revelation floweroflove.
We complete the “Ready for the Weekend” playlist with equally interesting new releases from FINNEAS, Califato 3/4, Half Waif, ORTIGA, Men I Trust, San Tosielo, M. Ward, Yarea, Foushée…
