RFTW: Magdalena Bay, JPEGMAFIA, Soccer Mommy, Caribou…

Not many artists release albums in these first days of August. Jack White and JPEGMAFIA -both announced by surprise-, Khalid and the Smashing Pumpkins dare to do so. In addition, Orville Peck expands ‘Stampede’ with the second batch of songs that were still to be released.

New works by Meshell Ndegeocello and Why? are also available to listen to today, as well as the deluxe edition of Kacey Musgraves’ latest album.

Among the new releases of the day is the remix of ‘Guess’ by Charli XCX with Billie Eilish. Although the most surreal collaboration of the day, without a doubt, is between A$AP Rocky and Jessica Pratt.

Some artists have announced new albums this week, such as Soccer Mommy, Porridge Radio or Father John Misty, who is releasing a compilation. Others have continued to tease their upcoming projects, such as Magdalena Bay or Confidence Man.

Caribou, on the electronic side, and FLO, on the R&B side, also have notable new releases this Friday. They are joined by Suki Waterhouse, stivijoes, The Softies, Aleesha, The Flints, Pom Pom Squad, MJ Lenderman, etc.
