This Friday, April 10, the long-awaited albums by Holly Humberstone, who you see in the photo, and MARTIN, who signs the Song of the Day, go on sale, but we remember that Jessie Ware’s, originally announced for today, was postponed to the 17th.
You can also listen to new albums by Julio de la Rosa, our recommended Wesley Joseph, My New Band Believe (by a member of black midi), Marlon, Manuel Turizo or WU LYF. The latter release their first album in 15 years, but we remind you that they are not available on the usual streaming platforms, so you will not find any songs from their album on the playlist.
Other less high-profile albums, but ones we recommend, are those by Hajaj on the international side and Minibús Intergalàctic on the national side.
The day of news leaves a standout single by Lykke Li, which opens the playlist, as well as the duo of Lady Gaga and Doechii, the duo of Anitta and Shakira, the duo of Julieta Venegas and Yahritza y su Esencia (which is not ‘La perla 2.0’, luckily) and the duo of Kehlani and Missy Elliott.
But it’s not just about duos, it’s also about soloists and groups. Guille Galván of Vetusta Morla continues to advance his solo project; The Strokes, MIA and Kurt Vile announce new album; Kelela and Alabama Shakes return, and KATSEYE release another of their singles “you either love it or you hate it,” after losing one of their members, Manon, who is taking a break.
From here we recommend new releases from Kelsey Lu, L’Haine, Laufey, the collaboration of PNAU and The Warning, Iceage, Lolo Zouaï, Lip Critic, and we cannot fail to mention curiosities such as Amanda Bynes’ single, between hyperpop and outsider; the version of ‘Volando voy’ by Amaia, or the collaboration of Vega and Gordi in ‘Unconditional’.
