RFTW: Gracie Abrams, Steve Lacy, Carly Rae Jepsen, Leon Bridges…

Today’s news, July 17, is evidently marked by the long-awaited release of Gracie Abrams. But it is not the only album that is worth highlighting, since we can also listen to new works by Eartheater, Steve Lacy, his colleague Syd, Yard Act, Nia Archives, Lido Pimienta, Helado Tropical or even Tricky. Among the curious releases are the reissue of ‘Daydream’ by Mariah Carey on the occasion of her 30th anniversary and the new EP by Gala Nell.

While Cupid completes his album with the addition of the missing song, we also discover new singles from Carly Rae Jepsen (in Jungle style), Brandon Flowers (in country style), Kelly Clarkson (in Pink style) or Tinashe (in Tinashe style).

The latter has announced her album ‘Popstar’, and she is not the only one that has started a campaign this week: Leon Bridges, Beck and Echo & the Bunnymen have also announced an album in recent days, while Julia Jacklin had done so previously. Not to mention the new David Bowie compilation.

They continue to tease their upcoming releases beabadoobee, Rose Gray and Overmono, as well as Queens of the Stone Age, whose Josh Homme doubles on Mastodon’s single. Today we highlight Claudia Arenas’ wonderful debut on the cover, and her OT 2025 partner Guillo Rist also releases an electronic single.

National pop in Spanish leaves notable news from Bloodstein, BRAVA with Leo Tucadamo, Karmento, Kristina, Euskoprincess, Blackpanda or a new song by Maria Arnal, which follows her album this year and follows the same line.
