Repsol presents its “Support for Festivals” program aimed at festivals, regardless of size or type, committed to reducing their CO₂ footprint and willing to move towards an energy model with a lower carbon footprint.
The project has been designed with the collaboration of leading entities in the music industry, such as APM, ARTE and Es_Música; to generate a shared learning platform, capable of bringing real solutions to each festival. The program proposes a three-year collaboration in which the selected festivals will receive energy advice, energy solutions of 100% renewable origin and tools to measure their environmental impact and identify opportunities for improvement.
The deadline to submit applications will remain open until December 31, 2026 and the selected projects will be communicated at the end of February 2027. A Repsol initiative that arises after having collaborated with large festivals such as Bilbao BBK Live or accumulating a list of more than seventy events a year in which it has provided energy solutions.
During the first year, Repsol will assume the 100% renewable energy contribution planned for the festival. In the following two years, this contribution will progressively decrease as the festival’s contribution increases.
Among the aspects that will be taken into account to be selected are the festival’s commitment to sustainability, its environmental performance, the proposed decarbonization project, the availability of information and its capacity to develop the proposed actions.
