The project Backwaterdedicated to creating spaces for deep reading and literary reflection, celebrates a new reading retreat in the World Heritage city of Baeza (Jaén). On this occasion, the meeting will be guided by the journalist and writer Fernando Navarro, with the special participation of the author and screenwriter Elvira Lindo. A group of twenty-five readers will meet to enjoy the first retreat dedicated to a music group, from a literary perspective, that of Fernando Navarro.

During a weekend, participants immerse themselves in an environment of attentive reading, conversation and rest, in unique settings that invite inspiration and serenity. Fernando Navarro’s retreat invites you to discover how a story is built and how narrative can give meaning to life through reading “Something that serves as light”. Throughout the meeting, Navarro and Lindo will share reflections on literature, music and creation, around the work Supersubmarina: the story of four friends who experienced success and tragedy.

The program combines leisurely reading, dialogue, walks through the city of Baeza and moments of conviviality at the Hotel Puerta de la Luna, a 16th century mansion that offers the ideal environment for introspection and literary conversation. The weekend will culminate with a walk through the Machadon scenes of the city.
