Rauw Alejandro switches to funk in 'Touching The Sky'

Rauw Alejandro has shown in the past that he is not afraid to leave his comfort zone, which is increasingly wider. In 'Touching The Sky', the Puerto Rican gets into the more pop side of funk.

Their latest single, 'Espectacular', did not show any such abrupt change musically, as it was directed by producer Sky Rompiendo. However, 'Touching The Sky' appears to be an attempt to replicate the success of 'Todo de Ti'. It is immediate, easy to listen to and, although it is not as catchy as the 2021 song, it is a change of style that surprises and is appreciated.

Rauw sings about touching the sky accompanied by funky Nile Rodgers-style guitars, which is not on the song, but it would not be his first time collaborating with the author of 'PLAYA SATURNO'. “For you I jump from a parachute / My heart was gray before, now it is red,” intones Alejandro, who sings about love again. On the other hand, in the video clip we can see Rauw exhibiting her best dance moves through the streets of New York, with a 'West Side Story' feel.
