Christine and the Queens is now Rahim Redcar. Not only that, but their debut album already has a release date and a single. ‘Hopecore’ will be available on September 27th. ‘Deep Holes’, on the other hand, is already on all platforms.
We already heard the name Redcar on ‘Redcar les adorables étoiles (prologue)’. However, Héloïse Letissier’s next album, ‘Paranoïa, Angels, True Love’, was credited solely to Christine and the Queens.
Now, Rahim Redcar is set to release what would be his debut project. ‘Deep Holes’ is the first taste of this work and features an ’80s club sound in which Letissier sings: “I never had this faith in myself / That I could be that man.”
In a press release, Redcar says that ‘Hopecore’ is made of “tears, blood and above all an unwavering faith in the pure, raw expression of the soul.” Finally, he describes the album as “a call to the flesh” and a “prayer for justice and freedom.”
