The benchmark New York band Quicksand returns to activity with a preview of two songs that will be part of what will be his next album, “Bring On The Psychics”which will be published this summer.
“Bring On The Psychics” will be officially published next July 17 by the hand of Equal Vision and will mark the return to the present of the trio formed by Walter Schreifels, Sergio Vega and Alan Cage.
Now, as a preview we can hear “Get To it” and “Regenerate”, songs produced and mixed by Jon Marksonlike the rest of the album, which is inspired by the ideas of scientist Carl Sagan. Walter Schreifels has said that, to shape the album, he has returned to the albums of Gorilla Biscuits or Youth Of Today, although in reality he maintains the line that Quicksand marked in their previous step.
As for the album, in addition to “Get To It” and “Regenerate”, the two songs that will open the album, it will also include “Agency”, “Crystallize”, “Supercollider”, “In Full Color”, “Days You Run To”, “Cool Guy”, “Moving Forward” and will close with the title track, “Bring On The Psychics”. This will be the band’s fifth album after “Slip” (93), “Manic Compression” (95), “Interiors” (17) and “Distant Populations” (21).
