Queen will not perform in the United States while it is “a dangerous place”

Almost coinciding with the return of the Montreal concert to cinemas, queen They are back in the news for another reason. Brian May has stated in an interview that they are not considering returning to the United States until it stops being “a dangerous country.”

Queen performed in the United States for the last time in 2023 as part of their “Rhapsody Tour”, one of the most ambitious in the group’s recent history. They were accompanied by Adam Lambert as vocalist and the truth is that the tour worked very well. But it could become the exception for a long time, since Brian May, their guitarist and founder, has stated that they do not plan to return there for a long time.

In The Daily Mail, May has stated that “America is a dangerous place at the moment, so we will have to take that into account. It is very sad because I feel like Queen, we grew up in America and we loved it, but today it is not what it was.” During the rest of the interview, May pointed out that not only them, but all artists should think twice before deciding to organize a tour there.

At the moment the group has rejected recent offers to tour there, so we will have to see how events develop in the future to see if tours in the United States are once again a possibility for many important artists.
