Purple Disco Machine has released “Disco Cherry”, a new single with which he celebrates his return to Ibiza and his upcoming Pure Pacha residency on the island.
The German producer also signs a historic release: the first song created specifically for a residency at Pacha Ibiza. Built from a sample of the Italian disco classic “Walkman” by Kasso“Disco Cherry” captures all the elegant and hedonistic energy associated with Ibizan clubbing culture.
Between funk grooves, enveloping percussion and constant nods to the dance floor, Purple Disco Machine once again demonstrates why it has become one of the great contemporary ambassadors of disco.
The release comes accompanied by a video clip set between the late seventies and early eighties, inspired by real images from Pacha’s early years. In it, the artist appears DJing in a recreation of those founding nights that helped define the imagination of Ibiza as a haven of freedom, diversity and self-expression.
With more than 3 billion accumulated views and a Grammy for his remix of “About Damn Time” by Lizzo, Tino Piontekthe producer’s real name, has established himself as one of the most important figures in current electronic music.
“Disco Cherry” will also serve as a cover letter for his Pure Pacha residency, which will be held every Thursday between July and October in Ibiza, returning the disco sound to the center of the island’s nightlife.
After the opening party this past Saturday, Purple Disco Machine’s residency dates in Ibiza will occupy the July 16, July 23, July 30, August 6, August 13, August 20, August 27, September 3, September 10, September 17, September 24 and October 1all of them will be on Thursday.
