Purity Ring return with a homonym and “fantastic” album

The Purity Ring electronic pop group, which has given us small large albums like ‘Shrines’, will be back on September 26. It will be then when they publish a new album that will be homonym. It is only the room of his career and the first in 5 years, as they have passed from ‘Komb’.

We already know 3 clues: ‘Many Lives’, with a certain Drum & Bass aftertaste; A kind of reprise called ‘Part II’, and from today a third cut entitled ‘Place of My Own’, which will happen to both in the sequence. The objective of the new theme is to get us out of our “space and time”, so that we can enjoy “calm and loneliness”: “All i want is a place of my own / subm way to be alone.”

The group tells that this is one of the songs that came to them being in a forest between mountains: “Beat came like the cloud we had.”

In which they define as “the most immersive album of their career”, they have been inspired by the physical, but also in the fantastic, mentioning video games such as Nier Automata or Final Fantasy X. The album presents two characters, MJ and Corin, who seek to build a better world from one destroyed. Of course, they point out that it will not be a “escapist fantasy.” Part of all this is intuited in a sequence that includes titles such as ‘MJ Odyssey’, and also in the YouTube image.
