Primus They have published by surprise “A Handful Of Nuggs”a new four-song EP with several surprises in its track record.
“A Handful Of Nuggs” arrives just a few days before the start of the Claypool Gold Tourthe tour that will bring together the different projects linked to Les Claypool on stage.
The release includes the unreleased “The Ol’ Grizz”, one of the main novelties of the work, along with a reinterpretation of “Holy Diver”, the classic by Gavein which the eccentric also participates Puddles Pity Party. The EP is completed with “Little Lord Fentanyl”, a collaboration with Pusciferand a live version of “Duchess (And The Proverbial Mind Spread).”
With this release, Primus once again move between that instrumental virtuosity and the unpredictable spirit that have characterized much of their career, alternating new material with personal reinterpretations far from conventional.
The publication of the EP also coincides with the start of the Claypool Gold Toura series of concerts in which several of the current projects of Les Claypool. Among them, his collaboration with Sean Lennon, The Claypool Lennon Delirium, The Fearless Flying Frog Brigade and, obviously, Primus.
