The Asturian band Russian doll He launches his new theme “Friday without you”, a ballad that addresses “emotional wear, dependence and affective violence in certain relationships.”
The song has been produced by Igor Paskual (Babylon Chat, Loquillo), Fomchenko and Sergio “Firu” Díazand combines melody and distortion with a letter that reflects the contradiction between desire and guilt.
The video clip, directed by Pablo Rionnda And recorded at the Bola 8 Bar in Gijón, shows the story of two characters who fail to meet but share the same past and present. In the piece the four Russian doll members appear, with an aesthetic inspired by punk and references to “Sid and Nancy”, that is, Sid Vicious (Sex Pistols) and Nancy Spungen, his partner.
The recording was made live at UFO studies, with voice and guitars that build a dialogue between the members of the band. “Friday without you” presents a story about emotional difficulties and self -destruction in personal relationships. It can already be heard on all platforms.
