It sounds like a joke: an Italian and a Finn start a band in Barcelona to which a Basque man later joins. That is murinaone of those groups that opts for intense and distorted guitars. Today we premiere the video clip of his forward “No. Brain, Not Headache.”
Murina – “grunt” in Finnish – began their career as a duo with the Italian Martina de Lugnani and the finnish Laura Vainioto which the Basque has subsequently joined Iñigo Torío to confirm the current group alignment. Today we premiere the video for their advance single “No Brain, No Headache”, directed by Belén Canullan and the group itself.
In May, the trio will publish what will be the first full-length of their career, “New Way of Life”by LaRubiaProducciones. For now we can enjoy this preview song that brings to mind recognized influences of the group such as Babes In Toyland, DIIV or Sonic Youth.
As to “New Way of Life”has been produced by Daniel Gil at Siete Barbas Studio. Although this is their first album, they previously released three EPs with international labels as a duo, until they were joined in 2023. Iñigo Torío.
